DUE TO THE COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) PANDEMIC, PATIENT SERVICES FOR RADIOLOGY ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Services Provided:

An x-ray is a common, non-invasive imaging test that has been used for decades to help health care providers view abnormalities of the human anatomy without having to make an incision. Today at Tribal Health, basic x-ray technology has become a key element in the identification and diagnosis of many types of medical conditions.

X-rays do not have to ordered by a Tribal Health care provider. They can be ordered by any health care provider.

X-rays may be used to look inside your body. For example, your doctor may want to:

  • View an area where you are experiencing pain
  • See the effect of a treatment method
  • Medical conditions that may call for an x-ray include:
  • Arthritis
  • Conditions affecting the lungs
  • Digestive problems
  • Enlarged heart
  • Bone fractures
  • Infections
  • Osteoporosis
  • Swallowed items

Tribal Health offers magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to create pictures of organs and structures inside the body.

An MRI gives additional information about structures in the body, disease identification and progression, and abnormalities.

MRIs are available at Tribal Health facilities every other Friday through an arrangement with Kalispell Regional Hospital.

All images created by Tribal Health MRI and x-ray are read and interpreted by radiologists at Kalispell Regional Hospital.
