Services Provided
Tribal Health offers services through highly trained pharmacists and staff, providing medication therapy management, counseling on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, and other health-related services.
- Distributes drugs prescribed by healthcare providers while presenting education to recipients about their medications.
- Monitors drug interactions and contraindications to increase medication safety while working with healthcare providers on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
- Delivery of medications to the iLocal kiosks located in Elmo, Polson, Ronan and Arlee and home delivery for our elders.
- Offers immunizations for adults, adolescents, and children including vaccines for COVID, influenza, pneumococcal, herpes zoster, and more. Immunizations are available to recipients without an appointment on a walk-in basis.
- Clinical pharmacists are available to offer screenings for HbA1c, cholesterol, and blood pressure as well as disease state management for common chronic conditions upon referral by a Tribal Health provider.
- Manages Tribal Health Pharmacy formulary in order to provide the best therapeutic options to our recipients. Non-formulary medications can be requested by any provider by submitting appropriate documentation.
- Provides medication take-back services through the MedSafe
- Medication Disposal program with blue bins located in Polson and St. Ignatius clinic lobbies.
- Medication packaging is available to recipients upon referral.
- Assists patients in getting access to Narcan and offers education about administration of the intranasal devices; while also providing over-the-counter products like pregnancy tests, HIV tests and Plan B at no cost.
- Short-term emergency and after-hours prescriptions are available in Ronan at Family Health Pharmacy and in Polson at Lake Shore Pharmacy.
