SNAP Benefits Update & Food Distribution Option
– Action Needed by 4:30 PM Today (Oct. 28)
Due to the federal shutdown, SNAP benefits may stop as early as Nov. 1. If you’re a CSKT Tribal Member affected by this, you can switch to the CSKT Food Distribution Program (Commodities)—but you must disenroll from SNAP first.
How to Switch (Deadline: Today by 4:30 PM)
To close your SNAP case, choose one of these options:
*Lake Co. residents: Complete the attached Lake Co. Closure Request Form and send to:
hhshcsopalake@mt.gov or call 406-883-5320
*Visit the Polson OPA office
*Call 1-888-706-1535 to close your case with a verbal signature
-A signed form is required for same-day processing. If received by 4:30 PM, your case will be closed for November, and OPA will send the FD-002 form to start your Commodities application.
